Why I Wrote 'The How' for You
Your curiosity isn't a crisis, it's a breakthrough
January 1.
There are moments in a woman’s life when something subtle begins to shift inside her. Not in crisis, not in collapse, but in awareness.
That’s how this began for me.
Not with a rock-bottom moment. Not with chaos and turbulence. But with a quiet knowing that the way I was moving through my life no longer matched the woman I was becoming.
And at the center of that realization was alcohol.
For many years, alcohol had been woven into my life in familiar ways — celebration, relief, transition, escape, connection. At times in earlier seasons, it softened what felt overwhelming. Later, it lived in the background of my days in a way that felt habitual rather than intentional.
But as I continued to heal, reflect, and deepen my relationship with myself, something became impossible to ignore:
Alcohol no longer felt aligned with who I was growing into.
It wasn’t dramatic. It wasn’t moral. It wasn’t about discipline or identity.
It was about coherence.
About not wanting to leave myself anymore.
And when I finally stepped into an alcohol-free life, what surprised me most was not the absence of alcohol — but the presence of myself.
The clarity.
The steadiness.
The relief from the constant internal negotiation.
The sense that I was no longer standing in the doorway of my own life.
After I began sharing my experience publicly, a lot of you started asking me the same question again and again:
How?
How did you begin?
How did you decide?
How did you navigate the social part?
How did you handle the evenings, the identity shifts, the first 30 days?
How did you stay with yourself instead of leaving?
And I realized what you were really asking for wasn’t instructions or rules.
You were asking for language.
For reassurance.
For someone to name the season you already felt yourself entering.
That is why I wrote The How.
For you.
This guide is not a prescription and it is not a program. It doesn’t diagnose, label, or demand declarations. It simply walks beside women who are beginning to question whether alcohol still fits - and who are quietly wondering what might be waiting on the other side of letting it go.
Inside the digital handbook, I share:
the inner season that often unfolds before the decision
the remedies to address the fear of what others will think the tender identity shift when asking, Who am I without it?
what to say (without over-explaining)
what to reach for instead and why
why the first 30 days feel different for every woman
what it means to “stay with yourself”
and the unexpected gifts that arrive when you stop leaving
Not as clinical advice.
Just simple truth.
As companionship.
As reassurance that curiosity is not a crisis - it is awareness waking up.
This guide exists for the woman who doesn’t feel broken… but maybe feels misaligned.
For the woman who senses that alcohol has become the last remaining habit that no longer matches her clarity, her growth, or her relationship with herself.
For the woman who is not asking for perfection or forever, but she is asking:
What happens if I stop abandoning myself?
And perhaps more bravely:
Who might I become?
I don’t believe 2026 is a year for shrinking or for staying on autopilot inside a life that feels *almost right.
I believe it is a year for turning the page.
For choosing presence over escape.
For trusting our timing.
For exploring alignment gently, honestly, without pressure.
The How isn’t about removing alcohol for the sake of removal.
It is about coming home to yourself and discovering that you were never lost.

No urgency. No labels. Just an invitation to step into the room where the light is already on.
I wrote this for you and I’m honored to walk beside you.
